I see this girl
Who’s always sad.
Her friends think she’s fine
And her family doesn’t notice
That she’s all she’s ever had.
I see this girl
Every single day
She wants to get out
She wants to be happy
For at least a day.
She wants to know
What it’s like to be loved
To be wanted
And to finally be accepted.
Her eyes,
So red and blurry
Show so much pain.
She sits there alone
Listening to the rain.
Tears burning her face
Slowly falling to her pillow.
But nobody sees it
Nobody but me.
There’s nobody to hear
Her cries.
Nobody to see the pain
In her eyes.
For her it’s just another day,
Another day of sadness
Another day of tears
Another day she just wants happiness
Something she hasn’t has for years.
Nobody notices
Because she’s always in disguise
Always covers up with make- up
So nobody can see
The darkness under her eyes
I wish people would pay attention and care
Because she needs their love
I should know
Because that sad, lonely girl I see
Is the mirror image of me.
Who’s always sad.
Her friends think she’s fine
And her family doesn’t notice
That she’s all she’s ever had.
I see this girl
Every single day
She wants to get out
She wants to be happy
For at least a day.
